Health Awareness Sessions

Health Awareness Sessions

It is our motive to reach out to a majority of refugees, on updating them of the numerous health issues through several Health Awareness Sessions conducted by the Health Team in assistance with the Youth, Placement and other teams at BOSCO. It is our endeavor to bring to the knowledge of the refugees topics of common concern that include: water-borne diseases (Swine flu, malaria, dengue, chikungunya), Tuberculosis, Reproductive Health including Sexually Transmitted Infections (STI), HIV/AIDS, pregnancy, menstrual hygiene, safe motherhood, immunization and family planning. Awareness sessions are taken by experts from different hospitals /NGOs as well as the Health Team members. These sessions leave the participants informed about the dangers related to these health issues and precautions that should be taken in their respective regard.
